The Jamestown Brothers are a 9-piece band from Somerset, England.
They play original songs influenced by folk, country and blues,
with lyrics that mine the rich history and social tapestry of Great Britain and Ireland

With a unique line-up of guitars, banjo, piano, bass and drums,
together with fiddle, recorder, trumpet and trombone,
the band creates a really full sound with intricate instrumental interplay
taking the audience on a foot-stomping musical journey

“I had the pleasure of coming up to Weston with my Partner Brigette to see this group, and in particular, to support band member Sharon who is a life-long friend of Brigette.
This group is brimming with talent led by their lead singer Colin who has a great voice and is the link that holds it all together.  These musicians really can play their instruments very well, they have great harmony, a variety of well-written tracks and they sound very professional.
Their music is infectious and all the way home we couldn't stop singing 'Hey Ho' from their track Singing for our Supper'.  A great evening listening to a great band who really should have a much wider audience than just the South West.
Respect.  10/10
